Alexander F. Cornelius is a Research Scientist within Advanced Architecture Laboratory. In addition to his role as a researcher, he teaches design studios within SUTD’s Architecture and Sustainable Design Pillar. Prior to joining AAL, Alex served as project designer on a number of high-profile international architecture projects with MAD Architects in Beijing, China and Grimshaw Architects in New York City. Alex taught in the United States prior to teaching at SUTD.

He holds a Master of Architecture from Southern California Institute of Architecture and a Bachelor of Arts in Architecture from Washington University in St. Louis.
